Hello Lovely Dancers!

My name is Teresa Phillips and I am the Director of Tsingani, a Tribal Fusion Troupe in California. I have been dancing and teaching for 9 years in the Tribal Style and for the past 2 years my dance partner and I have been performing in the Tribal Fusion style.

Tsingani will be coming to Europe at the end of May to teach 10 hours of workshops for Tribal Ford and we are looking forward to connecting with as many of our fellow dancers as possible! We are available for performances, workshops and consultations in both the ATS and Fusion catagories. Nomadiqa Ethnic Fusion and Arabesque Beats - Repost

The name is Phoenix Fusion Tribal, and i am currently recruiting members. Classes in Southampton?

Suitable for all levels- this snappy drum solo choreography to Sahra Saida by Gamal Gomma. Afra will also cover general technique for movements that will be used in the choreography.

Afra-al-Kahira Hour 1 6.45-7.45 £10
Introduction to Graceful and tasteful floor work – Suitable for all levels. The workshop will cover how to descend to the floor and regain your feet in a graceful manner. Plus suggestions for tasteful and interesting moves for floor work. This workshop may be uncomfortable for those with severe flexibility problems or knee injuries. Please bring an exercise/yoga mat or a very thick towel to kneel on.

Hour 2 8.00-9.00 £10
Introduction to Dancing with a Sword - includes balancing technique, suggestions for movements and music, and a little floor work. Suitable for all levels except absolute beginners as students must have more than basic dance skills. BYO Sword – some spare swords available for the workshop. You can order a balanced sword from Afra in advance of the workshop; please ask Rebekah for details.

Any American Tribal on in Southampton (and a general grovelling plea)

Fall is right round the bend (though it doesn't seem like it) and winter as well. My dancing plans went out the window this summer as the allotment and silversmithing business took up most of my time, but once things settle harvestwise in a few months, I'm going to have time coming out of my ears. There's only so many times you can dust the mantlepiece before it gets boring, so I was wondering where the American Tribal instructors are in Southampton.

Granted, that begs the second question...anyone round her drive wot could pick a lass up in Salisbury if they're heading to class? I suppose a train wouldn't be out of the question once I figureout the wherefores and whithertos, but I've been coping lately with my autistic son and it would be nice to speak to people who use the English language from time to time.

Anyway, must dash, need to pick my son up from nursery!

Local-ish knowledge required

Hey there lovely ladies, just joined this tribe right this moment in search of some local-ish knowledge. I'm a Tribal teacher hailing from Melbourne but currently based in Malmesbury. I run classes in Chippenham but I'm desperately seeking someone to 'go all the way' with ;D

Basically I'm at a stage of needing some refreshment. I've recently done Sharon Kihara and Rachel Brice Workshops but that is not enough!!! I was like a sponge for those 2 intensive days but I want more! I'm sick to death of typing in Bellydance Wiltshire etc and coming up with the same old. Help is needed.... Does anyone know of anyone who knows someone, who lives or teaches in my area who can quench my thirst??

I also do Turkish Folk Fusion, so even someone who teaches this would be great. I'm finding it difficult to meet other obsessive dancers off-line.

Even if you can't help me out, say hi anyway :)

Greetings! Finally moved to Salisbury and just settling in. I've not been dancing for well over (gulp) three years now, and though I'm well out of shape and stiff (I had a child, and he's two now!), I'm trying to get a bit of courage to get back into dancing again. Have met a few of you in the past at Fantasia/Tribal Ford/workshops etc. otherwise on ATSUK. I am based in Leicestershire and work at Forbidden Fruits Bazaar shop (though only for another few weeks now).

Hello from Rugby!

Hi y'all

I'm Rick Heiman, BelCobraDance R, and just found this tribe. So glad the wonderful UK dancers are hooking up with tribe.net!

I've been in England for the past two weeks or so, attended the ISPA Congress in Gateshead (www.ispa.org), then danced at Sahara Nights in London and the Wiggle It Dance Festival in Clacton, now performing in Rugby tonight (produced by Lynne Chapman, 350 plus to attend, a sellout). Then Southend on Sea for Deniz's event on Saturday, then, sadly, back to California next Wednesday. But I'll be back in a few months, and hope to meet more of you, and share performances!
